These last few months of university have been a great challenge for me I feel as if I don’t connect with dance as I used to and the thought of me losing my love for it have scared the s**t out of me. So I have found it extremely hard to engage with anything in regards to dance at uni level, I’ve looked back at my journal and there are hardly and entries. And this is a result to the neglect I have been showing my course. I have found myself working more on my business and dancing in and for different projects and companies in order to keep my true love alive. I would be lying if I said I get all I need from the course because I don’t, I am in a place where I’m longing to move forward but I feel stagnant and suffocated which is stifling my movement. From today I will let go and just be who I can when I’m in class but at the moment I’m not feeling uni at all

What has become very intriguing to me is the naval radiation pattern I have found that I connect with this more, in regards to noticing it in my other classes. This pattern makes me think of my centre and my core and projecting what has come from the middle outward. With the movement patterns explored i have noticed the spine the most, soft spine and the casing around it , this gives me the imagery of the body being split into to halves either vertically ,with the use of right side and left side of horizontally using the upper and lower body in different ways. Noticing these things have affected the way I do the simply activities as walking, standing and sitting.
Navel Radition= awearness of the centre and looking at the limbs that stem from that very centre,
2arms, 2 legs a head and a tail which is the top of the skull and the base of the tail. this radiation spreads through these six limbs allowing stimualtion . making it AWEAR that everything that we engage with is initiated from the centre, this has a close connection to growing in the embryo. allowing use to remember things we once knew.

Mouthing pattern= again goes back to the baby stages retriving information we were once familiar with. as a baby you use your mouth to initiate movement, for example when a baby is trying to find the breasts for feeding, they tend to start with movement of the mouth, using the smell and movement to find it. This gets the digestive system going. this pattern spurs up th notion of being in two halves on the inside of the body. The line that seperates the two sides is the digestive system.

Pre spinal pattern= 3lines in the body, digestive/Noto cord/Uro tube. Noto cord is the soft tissue in the back that become the disc
and the uro tube becomes the brain and the spinal cord. which is all protected by a boney incasement

The yield and push pattern= with this pattern i understand that when yielding its like sinking, leaving an inprint and /or melting is the imagery that comes to mind. you yeild so far that you rebound out of the yeild, the energy of sinking takes you so far you bounce back from it

“For every minute you are angry you lose sixty seconds of happiness.”
Anger is perhaps one of the worst of all emotions felt by us. It can be felt
because of anything… a lost wallet, someone’s irrational comment, failing an
exam, getting scolded by your boss, or any other possible situation where the
you feel frustration, hurt, fear and disappointment.

Anger makes us want to slash someone with our words, bang our head in the
wall, scream at the top of our lungs, and do much more! Our body undergoes
multiple changes in anger – all of them which are harmful to the body.
Controlling anger is perhaps the best way to stop the body from undergoing so
many sinister changes.
Anger stimulates the left side (hemisphere) of the brain, which is the side
of the brain controlling emotions. Your body reacts just like it does to stress
when angry. You start breathing heavy. Because of this, the heart starts beating
faster, and pumps much more oxygen, adrenaline, and sugar into the bloodstream.
Your muscles and arteries tense, and blood pressure rises. Your body prepares
for action.
To release the tension formed in the body, you yell, scream, slam things, and
pound your fist.
The best thing to do in anger is practice being patient, i.e. control your
anger. As expressed by Dr. Laurence J. Peter – “Speak when you are angry – and
you’ll make the best speech you’ll ever regret.”
Here are some tips to help you control your anger:

Count to ten – yes it really works! Miraculously, by the time you say ‘nine’
and then ‘ten’ 80% of your anger will be gone.

Talk to someone neutral about what caused you to get angry. Narrating the
episode to someone else will help you realize the reason behind getting angry.
Once you know the reason, you can work on improving your capability to control
the situation.

Get some exercise. Release your tension by sweating it out.

Say something funny – humor will always dissolve the charged sentiments
between people.

My movement has changeed and improved and this is due to the knowledge of the many patterns we are learning . my understanding for the body and the way it move, creates movement and explores the outter world is growing as well as the interest of all the inner things that have to take place fot these things that we feel are simple to happen. BMC has informed the way i move by doing just this. making me awear of the all the different parts and systems of the body that work together to create awearness of whole self . what i understand from this in simply terms: connecting the mind and body while beign awear of the centre jennajade foxhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01634759456106414914noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4852353756376503512.post-52831998846996475322012-11-02T08:19:00.000-07:002012-11-02T08:19:06.378-07:00core- Distal Connectivityjennajade foxhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01634759456106414914noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4852353756376503512.post-81822094609100696582012-11-02T08:17:00.000-07:002012-11-02T08:17:09.826-07:00cellular breathingevery cell in your body breathes, as im sittin here typing im drawn to the fact that all my cells are full with breath as i inhale and when exhaling they are deflated. jennajade foxhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01634759456106414914noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4852353756376503512.post-48937562206824985062012-11-02T07:52:00.000-07:002012-11-02T08:05:26.018-07:00navel radiation
What i tend to understand about this pattern is, the connectivity that we have to the navel and where this connection has stemmed from. the thought that from we were babies we were connected to our mothers by the umbilical cord, which helps to feed us and allows us to breathe. this connection does not go away we just tend to build on knowledge and experiences of inner and outter communications sometimes forgetting, what we already once knew. been awear of this place informs my moving in and out of the studio. walking with the knowledge i knew when i was in my mothers womb
