Interview by Sophie Tate

How has my movement developed since the beginning of the course?I would say you have developed within contemporary dance, I can see a difference from the start of the course up to now. Your foot articulation has improved, along with your head to tail alignment although you do forget to tuck your pelvis under at times.

Suggest three things i need to work on?1. Keep working on your foot articulation
2. Roll through your spine
3. softening your movements

How do you think i could develop these things?Going over phrases you learn in class, thinking about flowing through one movement to another as soft as you can, using your bones and not muscle.
Practice moving through your feet slowly and, also practice your jumps.
Check in with yourself at regular stages during class or even in your own time to see where your tail is facing.....if it is out then tuck it away. Same applies to your head to tail alignment think about them marionette strings pulling you up and gravity pulling you down at the same time - you are tall and floating yet grounded.
